Research of Dr. Bandyopadhyay mainly focused on the diversity study of bacterial population in different environment, like soil. He is also actively engaged in nanotechnological research related with different fields of the application of the nanotechnology. Cancer diagnosis and/or treatment, biochip development, single molecule detection is some other research fields in which he is engaged. Combining the knowledge of biology (especially biotechnology) and nanotechnology, we can give a tough fight to some major problems, like cancer, of our society.

Her areas of research interest include zoonotic diseases, clinical pathology and quality control systems in diagnostic laboratories. She has established and organized the first GLP accredited laboratory in Greece conducting more than 80 pre-clinical and clinical studies and she is involved in quality assurance and control projects. In addition she has been involved in respectable research projects covering different areas in the field of zoonoses and laboratory accreditations.Her academic and research work DrAthanasiourefers to clinical and laboratory studies in most domestic animal species as well as wildlife while she also has adequate managerial experience both in Academia and Pharmaceutical Industry.

Completed Ph.D. Veterinary Parasitology in 2001 and promoted as Associate Professor. Joined as Professor on January 01, 2009. Appointed as Professor-cum-Head, Department of Veterinary Parasitology, College of Veterinary Parasitology, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, Punjab, India on 20th June 2011. He has more than 20 years of experience in teaching, research, extension & administration under Punjab Sate Govt., PAU and GADVASU, Ludhiana. His major responsibilities include administration, teaching, research and extension in Veterinary Parasitology; development of socioeconomic programme in tropical parasitic diseases. Major research interests include: Parasite epidemiology, pharmacokinetics, chemotherapeutics, diagnostics, immunomodulatory and immunoprophylactic approaches for the management of parasitic infections. Priority areas include trypanosomosis and other tick borne haematozoa, poultry coccidiosis and wild life parasitic infections. Awards and honours: Besides various oral and poster paper presentation awards, received M.S. Randhawa medal in 2001, Dr. B.V. Rao gold medal in 2002 and Siksha Rattan Puruskar in 2009 for meritorious services, outstanding performance and remarkable role in Veterinary education and research in the field of Veterinary Science. He is receipt of D. P. Banerjee Memorial Oration Award-2013 by Indian Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology in recognition of valuable contributions and achievements in the field of Veterinary Protozoology. Recently, worked as visiting scientist in molecular diagnosis at University of Tennessee, USA. Dr. Singla received international funding from Commonwealth Science Council, London, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Bursary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France Financial Grant and World Association for Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology Scholarships to attend various international scientific meetings.Guided 16 M.V.Sc. and Ph.D. students in the capacity of Major Advisor, Co-major advisor and member of advisory committee in Veterinary Parasitology. Executive council member of Indian Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology (IAAVP). Dr. Muhammad Idrees obtained Ph. D. in Molecular Virology and worked for his post-doctoral research at Division of Viral Hepatitis, Coordinating Centre for Infectious Diseases, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Atlanta GA 30333 USA. Currently he is working as Associate Professor & Head Division of Molecular Virology. His 15 year career experience has spanned research work in government laboratories at the CEMB University of the Punjab. His group is the first in the country to conduct studies on viral hepatitis on molecular level. His contribution in Molecular Biology especially molecular virology has been recognized at home and abroad and his research work has been published in 88 peer reviewed research papers in national/international scientific journals with an overall impact factor of more than 150 of citation of more than 1000 and is inventor on one PAK patent. He had supervised 41 M. Phil and 7 PhD research scholars and currently supervising 3 M. Phil and 8 PhD research scholars. He is the editor of several Internal Scientific Journals including World J Clin Inf Dis, Global J Gastroent & Hepatol, World J Virol, World J Gast Hept, World J Gastroent, etc He has been the principal/co-principal investigator of several research projects funded by national and international funding agencies, namely MoST, EMRO-WHO and Pak-USA. He was awarded the “Best Young Scientist of the year” in Biology in 2009 by Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) Italy. He lectures widely on viruses and is teaching subject of Molecular Virology to M. Phil & Ph. D research scholars since March 2001 to date on regular basis. In addition he also teach advance course on Real-time PCR to PhD research scholars from 2004 to date.

His research interests are the genetics and molecular biology of RNA/DNA viruses with a special emphasis on hepatitis viruses. He is particularly interested in basic research involving virus-host interactions in host pathogenesis, viral transmission, viral persistence, various immune responses and antiviral resistance associated with RNA & DNA virus associated infections.

Dr. Oyero is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Medical Research and Training (IAMRAT), University of Ibadan. After her sixteen year career as a lecturer at the Polytechnic Ibadan, she moved to the University of Ibadan in 2013. Dr. Oyero has been involved in the epidemiology of viral diseases in Nigeria, and her PhD thesis documented the first report of Non-polio enterovirus sequences in the country. As a virologist, she actively participates in the activities of the International Society for Antiviral Research (ISAR), the International Consortium on Anti-virals (ICAV) and the European Study Group on the Molecular Biology of Picornaviruses.

Dr. Jane-Francis Akoachere I was born on the 4th of July 1967 in Shisong, Bui Division, Cameroon. I attended primary education from 1972 to 1979 at St. Theresia’s School kumbo. I proceeded to do secondary education at St. Agustine’s College Nso where I spent seven years to obtain Ordinary Level (in 1984) and Advanced level (in 1986) Certificates. Upon graduation from St. Augustine’s College, I was awarded a scholarship by the Cameroon Government to carryout university studies in the University of Benin, Nigeria. I was admitted to read Microbiology at the University of Benin. Upon graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree (Second Class Upper Division) in 1989, I went in for graduate studies in same university and obtained an M. Sc Degree in 1992. Because of the political instability in Nigeria then, I decided to remain in the University of Benin for Ph. D studies as I was already used to the environment. I enrolled in the Ph.D programme in 1992. The numerous students’ strikes which always lead to the closure of the university at times for a period of six months greatly disrupted the progress of my research. This made me to spend up to five years to earn the degree. My research during the graduate studies was on Environmental and Public Health Microbiology. Upon graduation from the Ph.D programme in 1997, I returned to Cameroon and was recruited as an Assistant Lecturer in the Microbiology Progamme in the University of Buea. In 2002, I was promoted to the rank of Lecturer and then to Associate Professor in 2011. I have successfully supervised 21 M.Sc theses. At the moment, I have six M. Sc and 3 Ph.D students I co-supervise with other colleagues.
I am an active member of the University community. I have held several positions of responsibility in the Faculty of Science and also serve in many committees organizing university wide activities. I was the first Coordinator for the Microbiology Programme. After, I was appointed Chief f Service in charge of Teaching and Research, Faculty of Science and a few months ago was appointed Vice-Dean in Charge of Programmes and Academic Affairs. Because of my administrative skills I was appointed Acting Faculty Officer in the Faculty of Education in same university in 2013, a position I still maintain till date. I am a member of several professional organizations with a position of responsibility in some. I am the Secretary General of Cameroon Toxicological Society, Cameroon’s Liaison to the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) from 2011 to 2012. Presently, I am Cameroon’s Ambassador to ASM.
I have attended several workshops and conferences at home and abroad with sponsorship from international organizations like American Society for Microbiology, UNESCO and United States Biosecurity Engagement Programme.
I have reviewed manuscripts for several international journals of high repute, and grant proposals from the National Research Foundation of the Republic of South Africa, the University of Wisconsin, Milwuakee; and M.Sc and Ph.D theses for universities at home and abroad.
As a researcher, I have 21 publications in journals of high repute. I am determined to keep up my publication record of the past one year.

Research Interests

My research has focused on detection of human pathogenic bacteria from clinical and environmental sources and determining the appropriate antimicrobial agents that could be employed in the treatment of such infections. Using standard microbiological and molecular techniques, these organisms have been phenotypically characterized and their susceptibility to commonly prescribed drugs in our hospitals tested. Findings have highlighted the role of the environment in the transmission of human pathogens especially multi-drug resistant strains.
Presently, I am investigating the aquatic reservoirs of Vibrio cholerae in some cholera endemic areas of Cameroon, survival forms of this pathogen in the aquatic environment, the virulence potential of isolates from various sources, the possibility of transferability of resistance factors as preliminary data obtained is showing a high prevalence of multi-drug resistant strains, the role of environmental factors in its occurrence, the genetic relatedness of isolates from various sources to understand transmission.
Although my main area of research is Public Health Microbiology, I have carried out research in other areas of Microbiology. We have produced wine of comparable standard to some wines in the market, using indigenous fruits and wild yeast strains. I have also analyzed the oil-degrading potential of some environmental bacterial isolates and identified species that could be employed in oil-spill clean-up.
With the increasing problem of drug-resistance among pathogens in our country, I have focused some of my studies on the search for alternative treatments to bacterial infections. I have a studied crude extracts and fractions of some natural products and findings demonstrate that they have compounds with antibacterial properties.

He has worked as instructor at Hawassa University from 2004-2007 and as of February 2007 he is working as an instructor with the rank of Associate Professor at the College of Veterinary Medicine and Agriculture of Addis Ababa University based at Bishoftu town located at the heart of Oromia in Ethiopia. Bersissa has published more than 40 articles on international journals.

I was born and grown in K. Maras, which is a small city at the countryside of the Turkey. I graduated from the high school in K. Maras. I was accepted to the Istanbul University Cerrehpasa Medical School which is the oldest medical school in Turkey. After graduated from the medical school, I worked as a general practitioner for almost ten years. I joined to the Medical Microbiology department of Ankara University Medical School as a research assistant. In the third year, I was accepted as doctoral student by Microbiology-Immunology department of the Finch University Health Sciences. I completed doctoral thesis in five years. My doctoral thesis was related with the cell cycle protein EF1. We investigated its role in cell cycle and interaction with the pRB protein. Then I was accepted by the department of oncology-pathology department of The Johns Hopkins. My primary work was to establish a tissue specific conditional knock-out mouse model. After three-year postdoctoral training, since I had obligatory duty to Ankara university, I moved to Medical Microbiology department of Ankara University Medical School. I got the title of associate professorship in 2009 and professorship in 2014.

RAMESH K. KOTHARI, born on January 10, 1971 in Rajpara, a small village of Rajkot District in Saurashtra region of Gujarat State, India. His family had a background in farming in this rural area and completed his primary education in this village. He pursued higher secondary education in Mahatma Gandhi School in Rajkot (where Mahatma Gandhi was studied). Ramesh Kothari earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Microbiology from the M & N. Virani Science College in Rajkot in 1994. He completed Master of Science degree in Microbiology from Saurashtra University, Rajkot in 1996. He then received a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the Saurashtra University, Rajkot in 2003. He visited University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ- Now Rutgers University) Newark, USA in 2012 as a visiting research for his post doctoral research. His research done in Dr. Pathak’s laboratory at Department of Biosciences, Saurashtra University focused on Bioremediation of textile dyes by bacteria. Soon after he joined Christ College- Rajkot as an Assistant Professor in Microbiology. Since one year he is a Professor in Microbiology and guiding a number of Ph.D. Scholars in research area such as Bioremediation, Molecular Genomics and Virology at Department of Biosciences, Saurashtra University, Rajkot. Other research interests are in studying medicinal values of Malaysian plants such as antimicrobial, antiulcer and wound healing properties. He has received several awards and recognitions for his academic and research achievements, including UiTM excellence service award in 2012 (Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang) and gold medals for invention and innovation. He has developed a molecular diagnostic kit for Sarcosystosis. She has a researching skills to work innovatively that were demonstrated by a Patent which was filed through Department of Biotechnology, GOI and National Research Development Organization, New Delhi. She has been a hard working person. She has a long experience to handle independent research projects sponsored by PADI Foundation, USA, a major research project funded by Department of Science & Technology and a Post-Doc Fellowship awarded by the University Grants Commission, GOI to explore mechanism of invasion by alien parasitic species from marine to inland aquatic ecosystems. Dr. Neeshma achieved remarkable success in distinguished researches that were recognized by the award of 4 Gold Medals, and 2 Fellowships of National Societies. She has 4 publications in the International journals, 17 research publications in the National journals and 88 genbank submissions on NCBI website to her credit besides having authored 3 Manuals of Trainee Workshops that she organized as Organizing Secretary. Due to her exceptional qualities and hard working abilities, Dr. Jaiswal was engaged as Junior and Senior Research Fellow with various research projects funded by Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Department of Biotechnology and University Grants Commission at the earlier stage of her career after post-graduation. Her proven teaching abilities were apparent from one year’s postgraduate teaching experience at Govt. Post Graduate College, Gyanpur (U.P.), and later Dr. Jaiswal has been teaching Postgraduate and graduate Theory and Practical classes of Parasitology and Environmental Biology as part of her assignment as UGC Post-Doc Fellow in the Department of Zoology, University of Allahabad. She has gained knowledge in modern research tools like DNA Isolation, Agarose Gel electrophoresis, PCR and visited abroad to National University of Singapore under award from the Protein Research Laboratory at the Department of Biological Sciences to work with Prof. R. Kini Manjunatha for training on HPLC and Mass Spectroscopy to characterize honey bee venom. She also visited Mexico (USA), Australia and Vietnam to present her research findings at the International Conferences /Symposia and interact with scientists abroad to further her research ambitions. The extension outreach work undertaken by Dr. Ms. Jaiswal to develop alternate sources of income in rural areas has been the silver lining in her career.

His field of expertise is immune responses against parasitic diseases and diagnostics and immunoprophylactics for protozoan diseases.

I helped in establishing ELISA laboratory and serum bank in the Department and presently, Incharge of molecular lab of the department. I did my B.V.Sc and M.V.Sc (Veterinary Pathology) from college of Veterinary Science, Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana. I did my PhD in Veterinary Pathology from college of Veterinary Science Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Ludhiana and worked on immunopathological and molecular diagnosis of infectious agents causing abortion in bovines during my PhD. I also worked as Veterinary officer in Venkateshwara Hatcheries Pvt limited from 2001-2004 and involved in the diagnosis of infectious diseases of Poultry. I got Outstanding Alumini award by Alumini association of COVS, GADVASU, Ludhiana in 2009. I published one book entitled Handbook On Infectious Animal Diseases for students of B.V.Sc, M.V.Sc and practicing veterinarians. My Main Job responsibilities are investigation of animal disease outbreaks, laboratory analysis of samples from outbreaks for confirmatory diagnosis of infectious diseases.

After that, he did Master of Microbiology in Tropical Medicine Program, at Federal University of Goias, Brazil in 2010, working with Staphylococcus sp. carriage in neonates admitted in Intensive Care Units, Goiânia, Brazil. For his doctoral degree (2014), he worked under the guidance of Dr. Ana Lucia Andrade at the Federal University of Goias, on surveillance of Streptococcus pneumoniae carriage to determine the impact of pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV-10) in pediatric population of Goiânia, Brazil. During this project, Dr. Ternes went to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in 2012, and conducted researches in the conventional and molecular analysis for streptococcal serotyping, as well worked with a new technology for serotyping microsphere based, the Luminex. He is employee of the Goiania Municipal Health Secretariat, in the Epidemiology Department, and Assistant Professor at Pontifical Catholic University of Goias, Biomedicine Department.

Dr. Shyma KP, born on March 15, 1982 in a small village of Kannur District of Kerala State of India. She earned a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc. & AH) degree from the Kerala Agricultural University in 2007. She completed her MVSc in Veterinary Parasitology from CCSHAU, Hisar in Year 2009. She received a doctoral degree in Veterinary Parasitology from prestigious Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Bareilly. She received the esteemed Dr. J.P. Dubey young scientist award for heritability research in development of acaricidal resistance the ticks population   across the gangetic plains. For her publication on diagnosis of trypanosomosis in equines she was also awarded with Dr. VS Alwar Memorial award by IAAVP, India. Presently she is working as an Assistant Professor in Veterinary Parasitology at Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University, Sardarkrushinagar, Gujarat, India. She has a good academic and research record. She is presently working in the area of acaricidal resistance, nematology and protozoology.

Her research interests are the acaricidal resistance, ethno veterinary medicine, Protozoology and genetics and breeding strategy to control parasitic diseases.  She is particularly interested in basic research involving development of alternate strategy for parasite control.

Dr Anders Stockmarr was born in 1965 in Copenhagen, Denmark, and is currently a Senior Reseacher at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, Technical University of Denmark. He was awarded his PhD in probability and statistics in 1992 from the University of Copenhagen, where he was working with multidimensional diffusion processes. He later served as statistician at the Department of Forensic Genetics and the Department of Biostatistics, where he worked with DNA profiling and general biostatistics, topics that has been pursued over his career. He has also conducted studies of dispersal of plant diseases at Risø National Laboratory and University of Roskilde, Denmark, and worked with structural problems in hospitals, including adverse events, at the DSI Institute for Health Services Research. In 2003 he joined the National Veterinary Institute in Copenhagen, where he conducted studies of viral, bacteriological and immunological problems, and worked with disease surveillance for a number of livestock diseases and animal health. In 2010 he joined the Department for Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at the Technical University of Denmark, where he has continued to work with problems from the world of veterinary epidemiology, and pursued new areas within human nutrition such as obesity, disease prevalence in food, and applications from a wider area.

In 2010 she completed Doctorate degree of Medical Parasitology from the same University. She Worked as Demonstrator in Medical Parasitology Department from November 2003 to January 2007, then Assistant Lecturer in Medical Parasitology from February 2007 to February 2010, and finally Lecturer of Medical Parasitology from March 2010 till now. The Masters degree was on the therapeutic role of herbs in treating parasites. The Doctorate degree was on the genetic differentiation of hydatid isolates and the immunological diagnosis and evaluation of the  different antigenic fractions of hydatid. She has extensive experience in molecular and immunological characteristics of parasites. Her research studies in this area were mainly focused on Bilharziasis and Fascioliasis molecular and immunological aspects. At this time,    his studies focus on population biology and ecology.  Since 2000 he managed project on molecular biology and started microbiological research at the Department of Microbiology, Medical University of Gdansk. After specialization in microbiology in 2003, for many years he studied   biofilm formation and   antibiotic resistance Enterococcal isolates at a   single cell level.

Dr. Laishram Shantikumar Singh earned his graduate and post degree in Microbiology from Bangalore University, Bangaluru, India and received his PhD degree in the field of Microbial Biotechnology from Dibrugarh University, India through research work at CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, Assam, India. Currently he is serving as Scientist, Microbial Biotechnology in Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development, Sikkim Centre, DBT, Govt. of India, Gangtok, Sikkim, India. His current research focused on Microbial diversity, biopesticides and bioprospecting of microbial resources including endophytes for sustainable utilization which includes microbial secondary metabolites, bioactive compounds, antimicrobial agents and fight against multidrug pathogens as well as opportunistic pathogens. Other research interests are in studying the medicinal values of Indian plants including essential oils for their antimicrobial potentiality and plant endophytes relation. He has worked on many government grant projects. He has received several awards and recognitions for his academic and research achievements, including Group Technology Award 2009 given by DRL, DRDO. He has been awarded Junior Research Fellowship and Senior Research Fellowship during the course of his PhD work. After completing his doctoral research he has worked in the University School of Biotechnology in GGSIP University, Delhi. He has also worked in other corporate R & D sectors of Tata Tea Research Centre in APPL where he was actively instrumental in setting up of the state of the art biofertilizer unit of the centre in Teok, Jorhat, Assam. Apart from R & D activities, he had served as lecturer in NFG College (present Brindavan College), under Bangalore University, where he taught UG and PG courses of Microbiology and Biotechnology. He also taught Microbiology courses as visiting faculty in CAEPHT. He has many research papers/book chapters publish in National and International Journal of repute. He has presented research articles in many National and International conferences. He has submitted many research data in NBCI Genbank database. So far four students have carried out their M.Sc. dissertation project under his guidance.

Dr. Iman Ibrahim Shabana obtained PhD in Molecular Bacteriology at the Public Health Division of the Department of Infectious Disease Control and International Medicine at the Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences of Niigata University as fellow in a scholarship program. Currently she is a lecturer in  Bacteriology, Immunology and Mycology Department, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Suez Canal University, Egypt. And is working as an assistant professor in Biology Department, Faculty of Science, Taibah University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

She is the first to conduct studies on Diarrheagenic  E.coli on the molecular level and determining its MLST and clones in Egypt. her contribution in Molecular Biology especially molecular bacteriology has been recognized at home and abroad and her research work has been published in peer reviewed research papers in national / international scientific journals.

She is the editor of several Internal Scientific Journals including Austin Journal of clinical Immunology and Jacobs journal of veterinary science and research.

She has been the principal/co-principal investigator of several research projects funded by different funding agencies in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

She lectures widely on Bacteria, Fungi and Immunity to undergraduate students since 2001 to date on regular basis. In addition to advanced courses to master and PhD research scholars.

    Research Interests:

    ? During the doctoral study, I tried to find out causative organism of otomycosis. A detailed physiological

    study was performed to find out enzymatic and pathogenic capabilities of these microorganisms,

    doctoral work was focused on evaluation of various organic volatiles against microorganisms. During

    postdoctoral study, an effort was made to evaluate various medicinal plants and plant products against

    microorganisms causing otomycosis. Doctoral & postdoctoral work is well cited in various International

    & National journals of repute

    ? My present research interests ranges from microbial diversity to medical and soil microbiology,

    antimicrobial chemotherapy, Medical and Fungal Biotechnology and computational biology. Present

    research is mainly focused on development of antimicrobial agents against multidrug resistant fungi and

    bacteria. I am trying to solve enigma of microbial diversity of soil and in normal microflora of human

    being. Understanding pathogenecity and proper diagnosis of any disease is cardinal to find out effective

    treatment for any disease. Inability to solve this enigma can jeopardize the life of patients, present

    research is focused on identification of cancer antigen, pathogenic bacteria and fungi from patients and

    their antibacterial sensitivity is also noticeable. This contribution in identification of medically important

    fungi is well cited, by his first reporting of subcutaneous pheohyphomycosis on face caused by

    Cladophialophora bantiana in India.

    ? Development of new computational programs has increased the speed of biological research. Presently,

    my attempt is to use bioinformatics programs as well as database to find out relationship among

    microorganism through genome mining. Presently I am trying to find out enzymatic capability of

    microorganisms present on heritage sites, so that any effective counteracting substance can be developed

    to prevent deterioration of these culturally important sites. On the contrary to enzymatic capability of

    these environmental microorganisms. I am also trying to find out production of L- asparagines by these

    microorganisms because this enzyme is very effective in treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

    ? Besides that, I am working on diversity of microorganism found in diabetic, Gall bladder and dental

    caries patients because understanding of this diversity can help in finding out potential roles of these

    microorganisms in disease etiology. I am currently using Bioinformatics resource for oral pathogens

    (BROP) and Oral pathogen micro-array database (OPMD) to detect diversity of oral pathogens, as well

    as I am using Genome-wide ORF Alignment (GOAL) to study about the role of bacteria in secondary

    infections in diabetic patients.

She has received her doctorate in Dairy Microbiology from Anand Agricultural University, Anand, Gujarat state, India in the year 2012. Based on this research and fellowship training she has received several awards and honors, such as: Vice chancellor gold medal in PhD selected as BiovisinNxt fellow to attend conference at Lyon, France (2011) and granted Erasmus Mundus scholarship from EU in 2009.

She is serving as an expert Reviewers for journals like Journal of International Medical Research, Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology and Food Research International. She has authored 14 peer reviewed articles. She is a member of Indian Dairy Association (IDA) and SASNET-fermented foods.

She is engaged with teaching UG students and in research that covers isolation& characterization of new lactic acid bacteria, antimicrobial activity of lactic acid bacteria, formulation of dairy and food with probiotics-beneficial microbes, prebiotics & mixture of their off, exopolysaccharides-food and health application.

He is a Board Certified Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology. He has published over 60 peer-reviewed manuscripts, book chapters, is a frequent peer reviewer for basic and clinical sciences articles . He is also a member of European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases  and Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology Specialty Society of Turkish.

Dr. Sanad is currently a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), USA. He also served as a postdoctoral researcher with the Ohio State University (OSU).  Dr. Sanad holds a doctorate (PhD) from the Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine, in the Veterinary preventive medicine. Dr. Sanad also holds a DVM degree and a Master’s in infectious diseases from Cairo University. Dr. Sanad research interest is mainly focused on the development and utilization of genotypic and phenotypic methods to track enteric bacterial pathogens and their virulence and antimicrobial resistance factors through the food animals and their production environment. Dr. Sanad is also interested in studying the host-pathogen interactions and pathogenesis of those pathogens to evaluate their zoonotic implications that these strains may have as well as the virulence mechanisms, and determine the invasion and intracellular capacity of these pathogens using in-vitro studies on different kinds of the tissue culture cell lines as well as in-vivo in specific hosts

I started to work on bacterial pathogen since 2002. I received his PhD from the National University of Singapore in 2007. After that I did his postdoctoral training in Harvard Medical School and Novartis Institute for Tropical Diseases. In early of 2012, I joined Vela diagnostics as a Scientist and then was promoted to Senior Scientist/Group Leader in the following year. In Vela diagnostics, I developed PCR and next generation sequencing based diagnostic assays. From 1st January 2015, I will take over a new job as assistant professor in University of Macau.

My research focuses on the studies of drug killing mechanism and the roles of bacterial secretion system in bacterial pathogenesis.

He graduated from the college of medicine, King Saud University in Riyadh, in the year 1986. After passing his Boards in Internal Medicine, he trained in clinical hematology and hematopoietic stem cell transplant at King’s College Hospital, University of London, U.K. He has 4 year experience in internal medicine and 23 year experience in adult clinical hematology and hematopoietic stem cell transplant at Riyadh Armed Forces Hospital then King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSH&RC) in Riyadh, King Fahad Specialist Hospital (KFSH) in Dammam and King Khalid University Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

During his work at KFSH&RC in Riyadh and KFSH in Dammam, he was heavily involved in stem cell transplantation and he contributed to the success and achievements at both institutions. Also, he has 55 publications including retrospective studies, review articles, book chapters and electronic books and he reviews for 19 international medical journals in addition to being an editorial board member of 5 stem cell transplantation, cancer and infectious diseases journals.

Professor Rajendra Bhimma is Associate Professor of Paediatrics, University of KwaZulu-Natal and Specialist Paediatric Nephrologist at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital in Mayville, Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.  He obtained his MBChB degree in 1985, completed his Fellowship in Paediatrics in 1992 and Doctorate in Medicine in 2003.  He is also a Certified Paediatric Nephrologist registered with the Health Professionals Council of South African and also has a Fellowship from the International Society of Nephrology.   He also obtained a Diploma in Child Health (1998) from the College of Medicine, SA, and a Masters in Medicine degree from the University of Natal (1995).   He has over 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals and is a member of several national and international nephrology societies.  He is also an executive member of the Biomedical Research Ethics Committee of the University of KwaZulu-Natal and co-editor for three journals.  His main research interest is in glomerular diseases in children, particularly nephrotic syndrome. He also serves as reviewer for several local and international journals in paediatrics and nephrology.

In 1993, Selçuk Kiliç gratuated from the Ankara University, Faculty of Medicine. In 1999 he recieved his specialist degree in medical microbiology and started to work at the Refik Saydam National Public Health Agency (RSNPHA), Ankara, Turkey. He worked as a microbiologist in the National bacterial zoonoses reference laboratory (2001-2011) and then in the National High Risk Pathogens Reference laboratory Public Healt Institution of Turkey, Ankara, Turkey. Currently, He is a director of BSL-3 laboratory at PHIT and Dr. Kilic’s serves as a member of the National Zoonoses Committee and Tularemia, Brucellosis, Lyme Disease, and Ebola Scientific Board, and Immunity Advisory Board under the Minister of Health. He is also head of CBRN Scintific Board under the Minister of Health. Dr. Kilic’s research interests relate to epidemiology, microbiology and the development of rapid detection assays and molecular genotyping methods of bacterial zoonoses. He has participated in more than 10 scientific projects as a project manager or laboratory investigator. He is the author and co-author of 120 papers in peer-reviewed journals with about 600 citations in web of science (WoS) and H index 14.

Dr. Alfonso Martín Cabello-Vílchez received his Medical Technologist education at the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH), Instituto de Medicina Topical Alexander von Humboldt (IMT-AvH), Lima-Peru in 2003; He also has the Master in Biomedicine from University Institute of Tropical Diseases and Public Health of the Canary Islands, Tenerife – Spain and He obtained his PhD in The University Institute of Tropical Diseases and Public Health of the Canary Islands, Tenerife – Spain in Biopharmaceutical Sciences. Currently he received an Assistant Professor position at Instituto de Medicina Topical Alexander von Humboldt IMT-AvH-UPCH, Lima-Peru. He is the head of the free living amoeba unit laboratory at Instituto de Medicina Topical Alexander von Humboldt IMT-AvH-UPCH (2015 -2020). He is currently Professor of Medical Parasitology and He has 15 publications in journals from parasitology and microbiology since 2010. His interest focuses on free-living amoebae and endosymbiotic processes (mycobacterium and others) that cause disease in humans. In addition to proposing new treatments mediate biochemical and molecular approach. His group iscurrently interested in developing diagnostic methods for Leprosy in the jungles of South America.

Emilio E. Espinola was born in 1981 in Asuncion, Paraguay. He received his BS degree in Biology at Universidad Nacional de Asuncion (Paraguay, 2004) and the MSc degree in Proteomics & Bioinformatics at University of Geneva (Switzerland, 2009). He is a researcher at Instituto de Investigaciones en Ciencias de la Salud (Universidad Nacional de Asuncion). His research focuses on the diversity and mechanisms of evolution of respiratory and encephalitis viruses, and bioinformatics.

Assistant professor in the Medical Parasitology Unit, Instituto de Higiene e Medicina Tropical (IHMT), Universidade Nova de Lisboa (UNL), Portugal. PhD in Biomedical Sciences, 2000 (IHMT/UNL), and MSc in Medical Parasitology, 1990 (IHMT/UNL). Graduate in Pharmacy by the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Coimbra in 1978 and post-graduate in Clinical Pathology, 1980 (Hospital Egas Moniz, Lisbon) and Tropical Medicine and Public in IHMT (1994). Teach medical helminthology in post graduate courses (MSc and PhD) in the IHMT and in other Portuguese and African institutions. Research lines: immunoepidemiology, diagnosis, therapeutic compounds mainly addressed to schistosomiasis and zoonotic helminthiasis. Participation in epidemiological studies on schistosomiasis and soil-transmitted helminths in Africa (Angola, Guinea-Bissau and S. Tomé & Príncipe). Principal Investigator of a multidisciplinary project on dirofilariasis in Portugal funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology. Head of the Laboratory of immunodiagnostic of Helminthology and Group leader of Medical Helminthology and Malacology since 2010. Member of the Scientific Board and of the “General Board” of IHMT since 1014. Director of the Medical Parasitology Unit (2010-2013).

Marcus V. N. de Souza was awarded his Ph. D. degree in organic synthesis from University Paris XI, Paris - France in 1999 under the supervision of Prof. Robert H. Dodd. He then worked with Prof. Robert H. Holton as postdoctoral research in medicinal chemistry at Florida State University - USA. Afterwards, he moved to University of Juiz de Fora - MG, Brazil where he worked as a visiting professor. At present, he was selected for a position at Fiocruz Research Institue, Rio de Janeiro - Brazil where he has a research group in medicinal chemistry synthesis department. His main interest in research is centered on neglected disease (Tuberculosis and Malaria), Cancer and synthetic methodologies

Ramansu Goswami earned his PhD degree from Visva-Bharati University, India in 2012. He worked as a Postdoctoral Scientist (2011-2012) in Center for Gene Regulation in Health and Disease, Cleveland State University, USA on suppression of pulmonary innate immunity by parasites and virus and contributed in two major inventions: i) viral degradasome hijacks mitochondria to suppress innate immunity and ii) endorsement of Toxoplasma replication by cellular IRF3. Since 2012, he is working as a Postdoctoral Scientist under Indo-UK Collaborative Research Initiative in Visva-Bharati University, India and engaged in modulating the microbial performance in biogas production inside anaerobic digester. Presently he has 11 publications in highly reputed journals (PLOS Pathogens, Cell Research, Microbial Pathogenesis, Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology, Developmental and Comparative Immunology, Geomicrobiology Journal etc). He achieved several national and international fellowships in his research career. He is an Editorial Board Member in Research Journal of Biology (ISSN: 2322- 0066) from 2014.
